For the younger members of the family (and, in fact, anyone with an interest in the natural world) the daily training sessions are a highlight of any visit. During these interactive sessions, visitors can meet trainers and zoo personnel who will introduce many of the animal stars of the zoo experience to the audience – and answer questions about their habits and where they fit into the wonderful web of life that spreads cross the Earth, as well as the conservation efforts that are aimed at protecting them and their habitats.
However, the wonder does not end with the animals – there is also an incredible botanical garden that is simply a joy to visit. There are also other attractions such as rides (Splash Park, the Conservation Carousel and the ‘Zoo adventure ropes courses’ are all extremely popular). Visitors can also enjoy camel rides and for the younger members of the family the petting zoo experience is always a highlight of any visit.
Refreshments are readily available from a variety of concession stands across the zoo – and the gift shop is well worth a visit for those who want to take home a momento of the time that they have spent at this wonderful family orientated attraction.
